Certificate fees, unlock dates, and verification
Understand VirtualWorks free participation, the optional ₹99 certificate fee, scheduled unlock dates, and the irreversible instant-certificate option.
Free participation and optional certification
VirtualWorks registration, the offer letter, assigned task access, submissions, and feedback are free. You can participate without requesting a completion certificate. If you choose the optional certificate after meeting the requirements, its processing fee is ₹99. This distinction matters when comparing a free internship with an offer that promises a free certificate: they are not the same claim. Check the Terms before applying.
What must happen before a certificate is available?
All assigned tasks must be approved and the payment must be verified. Uploading a submission does not mean it has passed review, and completing payment does not override missing approvals. The certificate also has a timing requirement. Look at your dashboard status and the official dates rather than assuming that a bank debit alone proves that a certificate is ready to download.
Scheduled download follows the official end date
A scheduled certificate unlocks on the official internship end date. Finishing work earlier does not automatically move that date. For example, if your offer letter has a future end date and you finish tasks before it, the scheduled download still waits for that end date after the other requirements are met. Use the date shown for your own internship, not a generic date in an example or another student’s document.
What does the instant option change?
The instant-certificate option is a separate, explicit choice. It preserves the internship’s existing duration, sets the end date to the selection date using the platform’s India business date, and recalculates the start date backward by that duration. Both the offer letter and certificate use the updated dates. It does not remove the task-approval or payment requirements.
Read the irreversible-date warning before agreeing
The instant change cannot be reverted through the normal flow. Read the explanation and date preview carefully before agreeing. If your college has already approved an offer letter or requires specific dates, ask it whether revised dates are acceptable first. After choosing instant certification, download the latest offer letter and use it with the updated certificate; do not submit the earlier letter with inconsistent dates.
How certificate verification helps
VirtualWorks completion certificates have verification details that allow the recorded credential to be checked through the platform. Verification confirms the platform record; it does not guarantee recognition by every college or employer. VirtualWorks is a private educational initiative developed and provided by Emogi and operated by Noivrn. Noivrn’s MSME registration identifies the business, not government accreditation of the internship or certificate.
Paid but still waiting? Check before paying again
Check whether all assigned tasks are approved, whether the payment shows as verified, and whether the scheduled end date has arrived. If the bank shows a successful payment but the dashboard does not, raise a support ticket from your workspace with the relevant payment reference. Do not pay repeatedly just because a page has not refreshed. Never share passwords or authenticator codes in a ticket.
Refunds and academic requirements
Read the Refund Policy for the stated conditions and process rather than assuming every payment is refundable. If you need academic credit, confirm your department’s requirements before enrollment or any date change. The platform does not guarantee college acceptance, employment, placement, or a stipend.
